New Process for 1099's. (Article Below)

Due to the 2020 IRS changes to 1099’s this year requiring e-filing, some changes have been made to TOPS Professional & iQ.  

  1. Starting this year, we will no longer have the option to print 1099’s from TOPS Professional. The vendor information will need to be exported out of Professional, then imported to 3rd party program, like Yearli.

  2. We have a new setting for fields regarding the new 1099-NEC forms.

Year-End 2020 Upcoming Update

With Year-End approaching, we wanted to notify you and your team of upcoming changes to how 1099’s are processed with your TOPS Software product.

As a result of the revised 2020 IRS requirements for 1099 reporting, it was necessary for TOPS to modify the way TOPS Professional & TOPS iQ Year-End 1099’s are processed.

At this moment, we are finalizing the necessary changes to the program and will release a detailed Knowledge Article stating all the changes made to the process.

We hope that you and your family are safe and taking the necessary steps to protect your family from the COVID-19 virus that is quickly moving across the United States.


We here at TOPS are taking appropriate precautions to address the outbreak by following guidelines from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To ensure we do our part to keep the virus from potentially spreading, we have: 

- Requested our employees to work from home

- Suspended all work-related travel for the next 30 days 



Due to our Hurricane season here in Florida, our employees are equipped to work from home and can continue assisting clients during this time. We will work to answer all calls and emails in a timely manner and appreciate your patience in advance.
